Among other things he’s being criticized for, President Trump is in a Twitter battle with Democrat Representative from Baltimore, Elijah Cummings, and naturally being called a racist for it. After Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings theatrics at a hearing with the acting DHS Secretary, whereupon he showed more emotion over the illegal alien ‘kids in cages’ at the border than those in his own district⏤President Trump had had enough, and Tweeted at him, claiming that Cummings’ congressional district was one of the “worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States…Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA.”
Now, if you haven’t been paying attention, you might think that Trump is not only a racist and/or sexist, but an impetuous narcissist who just flies off the handle at anyone who says anything bad about him. Despite the fact that he’s said plenty of critical things about white people, men and women alike. So on the surface of things it just looks like another Trump squabble, and being portrayed as either he’s trying to get attention, or just being a jerk. Never mind that during this time, almost the entirety of the Democrats being interviewed on tv have basically called our border control and ICE agents Nazi’s who are running concentration camps, while doing nothing either to stop the flow of illegal aliens crossing the border (and thus ending up in custody), or to provide humanitarian aid for them, unless obligingly and under political force.
If you have been paying attention, on the other hand, you’d know that Trump always has a strategy, and is almost if not always, proven right. In the case of Cummings, you have to know that the initial ‘attack’ by Trump is already supported with information, and will be backed up either before or after the next hit, but it will be backed up. At the same time Cummings was performing at the hearing, videos were being prepped of his district, or at least the primarily black areas, which shows unbelievable trash, poverty, and decay⏤in the black neighborhoods at least. There had already been multiple reports of rat infestation, and even former mayor Catherine Pugh is seen and heard on video talking about it.
“What the hell? We should just take all this sh*t down …Whoa, you can smell the rats…Whew, Jesus … Oh, my God, you can smell the dead animals,” the former mayor, who resigned this year amid a scandal over the sale of children’s books, declared.
Videos are being re-shown from that interview, while at the same time⏤residents in Cummings district are being interviewed about ‘leadership’, and decrying it as non-existent. There is most assuredly something that will be coming out about Cummings soon, while the attention has already been put on his failures in Baltimore.
While all this is unfolding, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who has criticized Trump for his Tweets, you guessed it⏤as ‘racist’, is in Venice, Italy, along with Sheila Jackson Lee, John Lewis, Ilhan Omar and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Nothing says ‘tone deaf’ like one of your representatives being hammered by the President of the United States about rats the size of cats in his district or having a ‘crap map’ created for your city to avoid stepping in human feces, like jetting off to Europe on a fake ‘codel’, but Democrat representatives are doing just that. While her own district wallows in squalor itself, and Cummings is embroiled in this battle with the President over his own district, these clowns are taking a taxpayer funded Codel (Congressional Delegation Trip), visiting Africa and Italy to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first African slaves landing in America. Wait til the CBC figures out that it might have been Omar’s ancestors that were enslaving theirs, but that’s for another day.
In and of itself, the trip might not be objectionable, except that a) they happen a lot and not usually to the crappy areas of the world, but to the nicest ones, and representatives are fetted while the rest of us are grinding it out at our not so fancy jobs. And b) it’s some of the most high-cost, luxurious travel in the world, all at taxpayers’ expense. Per Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, who requested FOIAs as far back as 20101: ‘We have long noted Pelosi’s abuse of the perks of public office that granted her access to luxury military travel…According to those FOIA documents, from 2010-2011, the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol, including Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Courvoisier cognac’, and on and on. The average cost of an international CODEL was $228,563.33, and of the 103 Pelosi-led CODELs, 31 trips included members of the House Speaker’s family. That’s called a vacation! And this is for just 2 years for one person.
In the scheme of things, in relation to a $22+ trillion debt, this couple of million dollars seems insignificant, but add it up, along with all of the other waste, fraud and abuse in government, and couple that with the fact that in many of these Democrat representatives districts, their constituents are not only desperately poor, but also desperately uneducated: a recipe for lifelong disaster, and is an outrage. And of course it’s also a recipe for lifelong dependence, too, which is the point and the plan. As Rush Limbaugh says often, Democrats need a permanent underclass, which is why they can’t afford to ‘fix’ the problems they claim to care about: there would be no need for them anymore. But more than that, in the districts where the representatives are black and their constituents are majority black, such as in West Baltimore which Cummings ‘represents’, they get that voter allegiance by race-baiting, often claiming ‘Republicans are racist, so vote for us’. As I’ve written about, Democrats get 85-95% of the black vote automatically, so it’s obviously been effective. But then Trump comes along and says ‘What the hell do you have to lose?’ in his pitch to them and all hell breaks loose!
Now you could say Trump is indelicate, rude, rough, and tactless, and you’re probably right, but so what? What he says is true, right? All minority-majority cities are run by Democrats, and have a lot of problems, and black people have been voting Democrat for 50 years and nothing has changed. So if you’re poor, uneducated, and have few other options and these slackers you’ve been voting for aren’t doing anything to improve your life, why not? But when he calls out their failures, the perpetrators of which have been black, against the victims of which have been black, he’s called a racist. God I’m so sick of hearing the racist rhetoric!
The question then becomes are people willing to get beyond their emotions and listen to what he’s saying, and if it’s true. Is it true that Baltimore has a rat infestation for instance? Or will people deny its existence even though they’ve seen it, it’s been reported on in the same newspaper now trashing Trump, and even been remarked on by the prior mayor on video? And will they be willing to call out and hold their elected representatives accountable for the failures they’ve allowed to occur? For example, according to Fox 5 Baltimore in 2017, ‘A Project Baltimore investigation has found five Baltimore City high schools and one middle school do not have a single student proficient in the state tested subjects of math and English’. Who’s at fault then? Is it the Democrat political representatives that have for half a century run that city, many of whom are black, not to mention so many other cities in the same condition? And is it racist to ask that question? Or is it actually racist to not ask that question, and to not hold them accountable, thereby allowing children, a majority of them black themselves, to continue to fall behind?
This is the conundrum the country as a whole, and in particular, the Republican Party has found itself in for half a century, unable to address systemic issues of inequality and government failure, without being cowed into submission because of being slurred as a racist. Once again that is, until Trump, who not only doesn’t care what they say about him, but who also is incensed at the failures.
The President is calling out these Democrat hucksters for the frauds they are, and good for him. At the same time the black Democrat ‘leaders’ who are criticizing him, are luxuriating in 5-star accommodations most of their constituents will never experience.
The heartbreaking poverty all over this country, for all races, is an assault on the senses, as is the arrogance and indifference of the people we vote for to represent us, and should compel every citizen to rise up against this bloated, corrupt government!
Thank God we have someone who has the courage to do so. And we can only pray that the residents that have suffered so long are willing to see it and vote against those who’ve so callously allowed it to continue.
